Modern Night Club

Why is this place super loud and all noise?! Can he even sing properly? All I heard are screams, my poor ears! Chinese and Thai women with SUPER tight and short dress, super high heels (some with super high boots), and skin showing everywhere. One by one, slowly emerged as I walked in. I can't help but wonder who are they. Are they who I think they are? What kind of place is this? Is it even appropriate for family?

The more I walked, the more I see single men either alone, in pairs or in groups. This looked like a Food Court/ Night club; as dance polls were everywhere, not just a Food Court. After dinner, I sat there doing nothing but observed those women while getting my ears numb.

These women went from one table to the next; mostly approaching singles. Sat down, drank and chatted with single for like 10-15 minutes before leaving for the next table. In an hour, one by one headed to the stage and sang in Cantonese, Mandarin, Hokkien and Thai. I have to admit these women are rather fluent in all the languages; Thais sang Mandarin songs, and Chinese sang Thai songs.

Given these conditions, I can't help but started to question do they do it too? I know as a Psych student I should not be judging but I can't help it, its an inborn ability! Then I saw these less attractive women walking around with these flower necklace-look-alike and people actually paid like RM 10 (pink ones) and RM 50 (yellow ones) just to present it to those women while they are singing. And the worst is that they recycle it! As in resell it again. They really know how to make $$!

What actually motivate these guys to spend such fortune? When I saw my aunt doing the same (for her friends) my heart felt a sharp pain! Spend about RM 60 just for that! Every time I see her buying it, my heart cried out. Why the hell people waste $$ like that? Don't they know those $$ they spent; just to get the women flower necklace which will be recycled, could be used for other meaningful purpose! Donation for one!

Seriously?! What the hell is these people thinking? Are they earning too much and have no idea how to spend it? or Did they feel happy after that? Do they even regret spending such money after awhile? What would they tell their wives when they asked where did all the $$ went? and Just so you know, those singles aren't young. Yup, they are as old as our father.

If possible, I would love to interview them on their job. What made them chose such job? How can they just approach single men and start talking to them? But then again, it all boils down to the word "SURVIVE". Yup, the wonders of human behaviour something that may seem easy to figure out with careful observation of body language however, its difficult at the same time, as not all body language tells you the same thing.

And boy, am I glad to be  finally out of that place! Too noisy and my ears are hurting, though the noise became background noise after awhile.

Pray for Japan

8.9 earthquake followed by a Tsunami. Reading, watching and listening to all these news is not only horrifying but its also devastating. To the land that produces my favourite green tea products. Topping off with yesterday's explosion on the Reactor 3, I really feel sad and worry for the Japanese. Everyone trying desperately to overcome this crisis without food supplies and heat. Babies without milk and diapers. Over 2 000 bodies are found and more have yet to be found.

I saw some footages yesterday on CNN. Its amazing how people from around the world helped; rescuers, polices, doctors and volunteers. It a miracle that these 3 elderly survived the disaster; they were stuck inside the car! and was only found yesterday. Then there was this puppy being washed away by the water, it was desperately crying for help.

Mother nature is indeed very scary when punishing us. But we got no one to blame but ourselves; with the advancement of technology, we once again have cause more harm to Mother Nature. I guess at this point if its really end of the world, I would be quite satisfy with my life so far. Though its a bit disappointing that I would not be able to complete and graduate Psychology but... its too bad at least I have had a taste of it and understand people and myself more in a way =) Thus, no regrets.

To all Japanese, please stay strong and thanks for Green Tea supplies, not to mention Soba and Sushi! I hope that you all will be fine and will definitely overcome this!

If this were to happen to Malaysia, I think most of us would not survive! Why? Cause we are not prepare and that we never thought that it would happen to us; given our location away from natural disaster. Really hope that the Malaysian government would start taking safety measures; at least be prepared when hit with such disasters and not take the location for granted (since we are no more at that location; Indonesia's hit in 2004 has moved Malaysia towards norths). And please I don't think we need nuclear plants, we have enough energy!
