Modern Night Club

Why is this place super loud and all noise?! Can he even sing properly? All I heard are screams, my poor ears! Chinese and Thai women with SUPER tight and short dress, super high heels (some with super high boots), and skin showing everywhere. One by one, slowly emerged as I walked in. I can't help but wonder who are they. Are they who I think they are? What kind of place is this? Is it even appropriate for family?

The more I walked, the more I see single men either alone, in pairs or in groups. This looked like a Food Court/ Night club; as dance polls were everywhere, not just a Food Court. After dinner, I sat there doing nothing but observed those women while getting my ears numb.

These women went from one table to the next; mostly approaching singles. Sat down, drank and chatted with single for like 10-15 minutes before leaving for the next table. In an hour, one by one headed to the stage and sang in Cantonese, Mandarin, Hokkien and Thai. I have to admit these women are rather fluent in all the languages; Thais sang Mandarin songs, and Chinese sang Thai songs.

Given these conditions, I can't help but started to question do they do it too? I know as a Psych student I should not be judging but I can't help it, its an inborn ability! Then I saw these less attractive women walking around with these flower necklace-look-alike and people actually paid like RM 10 (pink ones) and RM 50 (yellow ones) just to present it to those women while they are singing. And the worst is that they recycle it! As in resell it again. They really know how to make $$!

What actually motivate these guys to spend such fortune? When I saw my aunt doing the same (for her friends) my heart felt a sharp pain! Spend about RM 60 just for that! Every time I see her buying it, my heart cried out. Why the hell people waste $$ like that? Don't they know those $$ they spent; just to get the women flower necklace which will be recycled, could be used for other meaningful purpose! Donation for one!

Seriously?! What the hell is these people thinking? Are they earning too much and have no idea how to spend it? or Did they feel happy after that? Do they even regret spending such money after awhile? What would they tell their wives when they asked where did all the $$ went? and Just so you know, those singles aren't young. Yup, they are as old as our father.

If possible, I would love to interview them on their job. What made them chose such job? How can they just approach single men and start talking to them? But then again, it all boils down to the word "SURVIVE". Yup, the wonders of human behaviour something that may seem easy to figure out with careful observation of body language however, its difficult at the same time, as not all body language tells you the same thing.

And boy, am I glad to be  finally out of that place! Too noisy and my ears are hurting, though the noise became background noise after awhile.

Pray for Japan

8.9 earthquake followed by a Tsunami. Reading, watching and listening to all these news is not only horrifying but its also devastating. To the land that produces my favourite green tea products. Topping off with yesterday's explosion on the Reactor 3, I really feel sad and worry for the Japanese. Everyone trying desperately to overcome this crisis without food supplies and heat. Babies without milk and diapers. Over 2 000 bodies are found and more have yet to be found.

I saw some footages yesterday on CNN. Its amazing how people from around the world helped; rescuers, polices, doctors and volunteers. It a miracle that these 3 elderly survived the disaster; they were stuck inside the car! and was only found yesterday. Then there was this puppy being washed away by the water, it was desperately crying for help.

Mother nature is indeed very scary when punishing us. But we got no one to blame but ourselves; with the advancement of technology, we once again have cause more harm to Mother Nature. I guess at this point if its really end of the world, I would be quite satisfy with my life so far. Though its a bit disappointing that I would not be able to complete and graduate Psychology but... its too bad at least I have had a taste of it and understand people and myself more in a way =) Thus, no regrets.

To all Japanese, please stay strong and thanks for Green Tea supplies, not to mention Soba and Sushi! I hope that you all will be fine and will definitely overcome this!

If this were to happen to Malaysia, I think most of us would not survive! Why? Cause we are not prepare and that we never thought that it would happen to us; given our location away from natural disaster. Really hope that the Malaysian government would start taking safety measures; at least be prepared when hit with such disasters and not take the location for granted (since we are no more at that location; Indonesia's hit in 2004 has moved Malaysia towards norths). And please I don't think we need nuclear plants, we have enough energy!

Invitation to Lancaster University, UK

Just a few minutes ago, I have the sudden urge to login to imail; which I don't do so often, only on rare occasions that I login... Can't believe that I have like 15 unread mails from Sunway. But one particular mail caught my attention... The title reads, "Invitation to BPSY students to join study visit 2011 to Lancaster University". At first,  it was just out of curiosity that I click on it and read.

As I continue reading, I realised that this is only mailed to the selected 15 candidates. I was like, "Huh? Seriously?". I just could not believe it, as it is stated that two brightest students in the department will be selected to go. How in the world did I got listed as one of the candidates? I am nowhere near a bright student, let alone brightest; that's for sure judging from my results!

But nevertheless, I do feel a little happy to know that out of 100 maybe? students (2nd year), I got listed as one of the 15 candidates. Well, one thing for sure is that I won't stand a chance against others (my other  6 classmates) and that the trip is not sponsored rather its self-paid (5500-6000 pounds). Its too expensive for me....

Another Year, Another Sem

14 days into 2011... 2 more days to semester 5.

Seems like it was just yesterday that I was enrolled in Psychology. Now, I'm left with four more semesters to go and I'll be graduating; though I can barely see the light as it is still super dark. Ahahaha... I'm still amazed with my luck! I'm really lucky to have passed all my four subjects (Sem 4). But the most shocking thing is that I've actually not only passed Brain and Behaviour but also Aced the paper! I've checked it three times and hopefully Priya marked my paper correctly.

It would be a nightmare, if I suddenly was told that she actually marked my paper wrongly or that they uploaded the wrong result. Though I did said that I will be contented if I passed all my papers but my marks are just so heartache-ing; its 2-3 marks away from either a B or an A! Really if I could put in a little more effort maybe it would be better... Seeing my people around me scored better than me have made me feel jealous and a bit sad...

Well, I can't really do anything bout it... What I can do is buck-up on my studies! I really need to be on par not only to maintain my scholarship but also I would like to graduate with 2nd Honours in Psychology. Though its one and a half year more to go, but its not long at all...

Looking back, I can't believe that Sem 4 is finally over. Time flies really super fast when your are not living in the moment. I didn't really enjoy learning but more stress on studying. I guess this feelings will always be there.  I do feel jealous of my friends who can relax even when things are difficult. This is something that I really want to learn.

Is there such a class? Or is this something that come with birth?

Bullet Train

I thought that this semester is the worst but its only the beginning. I saw the schedule for next sem... It's HORRIBLE! 4 lectures and 4 tutorials, five days a week!!! Does our lectures think that we are really STRESS-FREE or just that we have too much FUN?! They really think we are robots? I mean even robots have their time to rest and enjoy stuff... but us? OMG, constantly on stress, lack of sleep and assignments! After all these, jump straight to finals! My life is faster that Japan's bullet train! Constantly on the go....

Why do you think I'm constantly moving between Stage 1,2,3 and REM of sleep and not stage 4?! Its definitely not because of COFFEE; since its a savor! Its because I'm stress! I don't think I've recovered from Semester 2 Year 1... Actually I think none of my classmate is! And now, finals is in THREE weeks and I've only started revising! Four subjects in 3 weeks. How am I suppose to cramp all that in?

And Brain & Behaviour! Another stress... its literally facts! How to bull using facts? Not to depend on memorization... How? I still need to remember the terms and experiments and of course the FACTS! Its SCIENCE after all...

I think my lecturers thinks to highly of me... I'm hanging on the cliff!

JYJ "The Beginning..." Showcase Live in Malaysia

The showcase is disappointing in my opinion... Well, mainly its due to the fact that...

  1. RedStar likes their customers to stay in heat and cramped like putting 100 people in one medium sized room
  2. The showcase on lasted for an hour, when its supposingly to be 2 hours
  3. The 'people' there just don't know how to line-up

Yes, me and Aliza practically went through all that from 11.30 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. Seriously, I think Red Star should really train their staffs on management! Such bad management, even the cheaper tickets had better services that we; people who paid RM 309!  Please have proper line next time and better management!

When finally got into the stadium... Well, all of us was very excited of course! I mean it's the first time I'm gonna see them live in person, although not as DBSK; which is another disappointment, NO MAJOR disappointment, but I'm still happy that I've saw them... They looked DAMN AWESOME in real life!!! JeaJoong was a bit shy today, although normally he would be the first to answer all the questions directed towards them, but today he and Junsu remained silence most of the time...  Mainly due to language barrier... And their dance... wow, the lower body wave!!! AHhhhhh!!!!!! Although JeaJoong looked bit awkward but its ok.. he just have to let all lose when he dance it; cause it looked as if he is holding back, only for that move, others....he enjoyed it... They really are enjoying themselves on stage... Its so OBVIOUS! And they are Talented and Great singers!!!

    They started off with
    1. Ayyy Girl
    2. Be My Girl
    3. Chajatda
    4. Empty
    5. Be the One
    6. Empty Remix (Encore)
If I remember correctly... I think after Be My Girl, they have a Q&A session... (What I roughly remember)

        1. Introduce the album

            YooChun: It's a dream come true to work with such talented people;
that I've heard of when living in America. This is a very
special project for all of us... (this is what I remembered,
                            too much screaming and shouting)

        2.  Malaysians like the word 'lar...'. They have to end everything in that.
So, can you guys say something and end it with a 'lar..'?

             JeaJoong: I Love You lar.....

        3.   Is Malaysian girls HOT?

               Xiah Junsu: *nod*
JeaJoong: Malaysia girls are beautiful but the weather is a bit hot...
               YooChun: Yes....

        4.  Asked them to talk about their individual project.

Xiah Junsu: Talked about his musical Mozart...
              JeaJoong: Talked about his Japanese Drama Sunao ni Narenakute;
Hard To Say I Love You
YooChun: Talked about his latest drama, SungKyungKwan Scandal.
In which its still filming so he is actually travelling back and
forth between countries and Korea to film the drama

        5.   Request for them to speak freely to the fans...

I don't really remember but they all said like "Thank you for patiently waiting for them", "Thank you for all the love that they received, they really felt it" and "We really appreciate your patients and love".  Lastly...

YooChun: Thanks for Always Keeping the Faith!

It was also mentioned that there will a concert next year.... and there maybe one in Malaysia around Summer (JeaJoong), which is during either the month of June or July..... So START saving people!!! I think that is all... Here are some pictures that I took, but it's not so clear... However, you will be able to tell who is who...

    *see the biceps!*

*and the SMILES that we miss so so MUCH!*

More pictures and videos will be updated, when I get it.... =)

P/S: Seeing them is good; also they sang my current favourite song; Chajadta (and I sang along, and the feeling is damn GREAT!) but I prefer all FIVE of them TOGETHER anytime! 보고 싶어요, 동방신기!
