Fancy Job Titles

Today was the first lecture for Organizational  Psychology (IO Psych). The highlight of the lecture is... that changing normal job titles into something different could actually make someone feel much more different and proud of their job! A word of advice, if you are those that can go on laughing for several hours, you might want to avoid reading the following content.

Traditional Job Titles                                  Modern Job Titles
1. Writer                                                    Sentence Engineer
2. Waiter                                                    Customer-chef                                                                                                                 Intermediary
3. Garbage Man                                         Sanitation Engineer
4. Secretary                                               Power behind the Throne
5.Window Washer                                     Optical Illuminator                                                                                                                                      Enhancer
6. Filing Clerk                                            Data Storage Specialist
7. Receptionist                                           Director of the First                                                                         Impression
( the one director who                                                                         does not get to sit)

See how people feel happiness due to the small changes? Although their job description and requirements does not change...
The next content is a bit out of topic but what the heck?!
Today Kar Yee, Aliza, Farrah, Kelvin and I had lunch in My Signature. For the first time ever, the restaurant was fill with people! May be cause it's lunch hour... but normally if we go there, it would not be fill with people... What happened? New intake, new customers? We had to wait super long today for our dish to arrive! I was already super duper hungry yet we had to wait for about 20-25 mins for one dish! Normally we only had to wait 10-15 mins but today is just super long.... So to kill time, suddenly Aliza mentioned something about having sex during pregnancy. She was clarifying that 'men' can only do it in one position during the wife's pregnancy period, which I forgot what its called,  was actually not true. Cause the belly would be too big and the guy would have to do it in other position. And everyone around the table started to give their own opinion about it. Kelvin said that the doctor would scold the patient if she had sex before labour and that the baby's head would have semen (sperms) sticking to it. 'Kelvin, there is something called condom in this world,' I reminded him. Yes, my group of friends would talk about anything no matter where we are and we are not ashame at all. That is our unique trait!
Talking bout sex, it reminded me of Glamour magazine, this month's issue. One of the topic is, 'How to trun bad sex into good/great sex?'. It definitely caught both Kar Yee and my attention. Till now both of us still wanna get a copy of it! We could not forget about the topic at all, its just too interesting! The reason we did not get it on the spot is because of... $$. Still got what reason beside this?! It cost RM 19.90 and not to mention its small in size, unlike the normal A4 siza paper. I have no idea what size is that magazine but if I still remember and crave for the mag, I might get it 2morrow with Kar Yee...

CIMB

Both Kar Yee and I was there at 8.30 a.m. After bullshitting in the car about our family and stuff... which reminded me of our topic yesterday in the car; SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE! Yeah, we can talk about just anything... Okay, back to the story. We went down to the ATMs section and withdrawn money... The air conditioning is freaking cold! FYI, Kar Yee is not human as she does not feel the coldness at all!!! What kind of human is she? Its freaking cold and all she said was,'I'm fine,' like she couldn't careless!!! Say some more that I complained being hot and no air the breathe in the car (engine off and windows are not down) and that now I'm complaining about cold... Sorry lar, but really its FREAKING COLD!

We then waited outside for the bank to open. Again both of us were bullshitting around...and Yes, individuals around was looking at our KIASU-NESS, but nevertheless we entertained them at least! While waiting for that STUPID bank to open. Their briefing is damn long, the manager was telling them about their doctor letter and stuffs... Told her staffs not to ask her why this person has lots of  doctor letters, cause she does not know! She shouted, I would say...

God seriously, the waiting was really killing me!!! That two minutes is freaking long, seems like an hour or so... The people there taking their own sweet time to organize when people are waiting outside, under the super super hot sun! The moment their opened the door, I looked for the clock first as suggested by Kar Yee and she said that if they are late, then only you can go bang the table! I think its really stupid of them to actually show two different timing. One on the LCD tv which said, 9.19 a.m and the one on the wall said, 9.15 a.m.

Its so misleading! If I want to bang the table also cannot lar! I looked at the one on the LCD as it is the first timing I saw, then they follow the one on the wall. How to bang table?! Wanna get angry also can't!!! Later, if they say they follow the clock on the wall, then I would be very embarrassed! I don't want that though I know I am definitely not gonna meet them again... but still I don't wanna cause a scene then embarrass myself!
So funny....

Jackson is now telling us a funny story. Something about someone's pronunciation. Instead of saying 'Group', he said, 'grope'. So here is the convo, I guess...

'You're in Grope A'
'No no, I want grope D and above,' Jackson said jokingly....

Random? I know...

Laugh till DEATH

As the door opens, the chattering sounds immediately stop. A woman in her early 30s walks in with a serious looking face. Everyone practically sat in proper positions and observed her; only the sound of the air conditioner could be heard. The woman slowly organizes her things, set up the computer and then out she goes.

Immediately,

'Why is she looking so serious?!'
'She look so fierce!'
'Oh My God!!!'

these were the questions and remarks made. This was the first impression Ms. Elaine gave us (Psychology, Batch 11)today. Not to mention it's our first lecture of the day of our last semester! Despite so, her facial expression changes as she reads out the name list, one by one.
The tension and silience of the class broke when she said,

'Aun Ali? Female or Male?'

the whole class burst out laughing! This question says lots about Aun! Though Aun acts like a female, but he really is a DUDE!(I GUESS, when he does not act all girly- the main reason why he is called PRINCESS)This also has everyone chattering away again... Just went it died down,

'Lee Ze Heng?'
'Not here yet,' someone said.
'This is a male right?' she asked.

Once again, the class burst out laughing; it's way louder this time. Mainly, its beause he is a pretty boy and you'll find out later in this post the main reason! What a great way to start the class!!!

This scary incident reminds me of my OB lecture, Ms. Janie (CIMP). The situation as above has happened before. The only difference is that. Ms Janie not only scared the shit out of us by saying that her class is really tough but she also specifically asked us to change to another lecturer if we want to pass the subject! Isn't that scary?! My god, which lecturer would actually say that?! But I do not regret taking her class as it is the best class I've ever attended in CIMP!!!
Charis, we are not taking a walk down memory lane. Stop and move on!!! (I know I'm weird)

At 2 p.m., came Dr. Priya; Social Psych lecturer. She is very friendly and has a heavy Indian accent. We introduced ourselves one by one and told her something about ourselves so she could remember better. The first thing she said about Ian, 'I know you ask lots of question. That I know, what else?'. Then she made a remarks of me; I told her that I'm evil mean and this is what she said, 'I like you. Evil always survive!'. I took it part as a compliment part as an insult... I know I'm IRONY...but you can't judge!!!

Then came Kar Yee's turn.

'Car Key!' Kelvin answered eagerly.
'Shut up, Kelvin! It's Kar Yee,' Kar Yee said.
'Curry?' repeat Dr. Priya.

The whole class burts out laughing like shit!!!

'Kar Yee not bad your name got upgraded. From Kar Yee to Car Key, finally Curry!' I said while laughing loudly.

'Shut up, Charis!' she said it happily. (You laughed Kar Yee or shall I say CURRrrrrYYYY!)

According to Kar Yee, the only way to remember her is that SHE LOVES BULLYING KELVIN (but then everyone bullies Kelvin!). And I couldn't agree more!!! And not to mention, Kelvin kept digging his own grave throughout the whole time. Then when it comes to him...

'I'm Kelvin and I have natural blue eyes.'

Yeah, right Kelvin. You think all of us are three year olds?! I think even a three year old can differentiate natural and fake! As he tried to explain his way out,

'Your just a transexual!' Natelie burst.

And everyone clapped and said 'Well SAID!!'.

I told Dr.Priya that Kelvin have a especial ability; I think all of you know.... Running in SUPER HIGH HEELS... 'With SUPER MINI SKIRT'Kar Yee said, 'I still have the pictures with me,' shouted Aliza.

Yes, this is the impression that Kelvin gave all CIMP-ians! And Kelvin, this image will be with you forever and ever...hahahaha...

Another Survival

Ahhahahaha.... I f****** passed all my papers!!!! I was so nervous this morning the moment the clock stroke 12 a.m., I instantly on my laptop and went to izone. Throughout the night I was think 'Am I gonna see 2 Fs or F and D?'. I have no confidence to pass any of my papers after I sat for the papers!!!

Though I did not score any Ace and I am a little disappointed... Well, there is always a little me somewhere deep inside my heart that hoped to score an A... I know I'm contradicting myself but I'm pretty sure everyone feels the same although they always say that 'I'm gonna fail' or 'I hope I pass' or 'Pass also I'm happy enough'... But somehow we always hope that we would score more than a pass or may be even a B.

But anyhow, I'm glad that I passed both my paper and I'm not complaining at all since I passed. I''m contented!

Autumn's Concerto

Finally, I've finished watching this Taiwanese drama! The Chinese tittle if translated directly is known as Next Stop, Happiness.

This story is about a rich rude brat named Ren Guang Xi, who lost his memories due to a tumour removal surgery in the brain. He forgotten all his pass including the love of his life, Lian Mu Cheng. Six years later, Guang Xi is the most successful lawyer and has a girlfriend named He Yi Qian (who also saved Guang Xi; a doctor). Due to the punch on his client, Guang Xi was sentenced to community service in Hua Village. Here is where Guang Xi and Mu Cheng reunite and not forgetting her son, Liang Xiao Le (Guang Xi's son).

After spending time with them and the villagers, slowly from his personality of arrogance and cocky soon changed to kind and understanding. The bond between Guang Xi and Xiao Le slowly deepens. After Guang Xi managed to get his future father-in-law's company to drop the plan of buy Hua Village, he leave to prepare his wedding with his fiance, Yi Qian. Xiao Le was too upset and misses Guang Xi so much that he left the village to Taipei. There Xiao Le got admitted into the hospital as he did not take his insulin shot on that day as he has first type of Hepatitis.

Through this event, Yi Qian found out that Xiao Le is actually Guang Xi's son. Mu Cheng begged her not to tell Guang Xi as this event (her and Xiao Le) was just his past and that they should stay so. On the night before marriage, Guang Xi found a pen-drive in the wristband while cleaning. The next day he went to ther church to search for Mu Cheng and told her that he wants his son back. He gave her two options, it's either they meet in court or she marries him.

Throughout their marriage, Guang Xi tortured and insulted her in every possible way. He accused her of having an affair with Hua Tuo Ye (Mu Cheng's best friend and is in love with her). So after he is done with Tuo Ye's court case, he would file for divorce. On the very next day, Xiao Le was kidnapped! Thanks to this incident, both Mu Cheng and Guang Xi got back together. This drama ended with this line by Mu Cheng,

"Actually where ever the stop is, I'm fine with it. As long as the stop has you, cause you are my happiness,".

This drama is a love-hate relationship for me. I love it cause of the plot. This drama potrays the love-hate relationship between a mother and son, and between lovers. Guang Xi is always against his mother yet his mother endured it. When Guang Xi found out the truth about his father's death, he asked his mother why didn't she told him and continued letting him to misunderstood her. With one simple answer, "Because you are my son and I love you" shows that no matter what parents do although it's wrong it is out of their children's best interest.

Though he says that Mu Cheng is nothing but the mother of his child, but in reality he wants her to be with him by marrying her. But I really hate it as he kept making accusations towards his wife. He told Mu Cheng to play his wife role properly, but he didn't even play the husband role properly!!! Moreover, it is not realistic enough! Everything seems to be so storyline-ish... Well, its drama alright....

Vacation (Part 2)

While waiting for Kar Yee and Jackson to wake up, both of us explored the place, the hotel.

*Me*

* Aliza*

*The family suite that we found. It's so different from the one we are staying in. Its so much more nicer... less spookier!

* The landscape of the hotel*

The first stop... T Cafe (soon to be Lord's Cafe). Here is where we had our breakfast. We order Scones, the famous English Tea dessert... It's priced at RM 2.50, which is really cheap compared to other places; Bala- RM 22.50, Japanese Cafe- RM 6. 30 for 2. T Cafe also have Strawberry Scones and can only be found in this cafe... The taste is superb!!! Haih.... I would love to have this for breakfast every day!!!

*T Cafe. The layout of this cafe is like the 70's. Well, that's what I think.

* Look at the tasty Strawberry Scone, Mmmmm.....
Then I also ordered the Chicken burger and Aliza ordered Vege burger....

We then went to Strawberry Farm. Oh My Goodness!!! I've never seen such fresh, green and tasty vegetables!!! It looked so good until I wanted to eat it there and then!!! Too bad they weren't selling it... If not, I would have bought it and have it for dinner!

And the Strawberries looked so so red and tasty and round and glossy!!! And its really cheap.

3 packets for RM 10 (small)
2 packets for RM 15 (big)

1/2 kg for RM 20 (self- picking) -> Aliza did this...

*Some flowers that are found there. Aren't they pretty?*

Then we went to the Rose Garden. Too bad it was drizzling heavily so we could not make it to the top... So these are some of the flowers pictures... I have no idea what flowers are there but they are so pretty!!!

*Me love the second one from bottom right*
I have no idea what species it is
but I love it... I'm so gonna plan it where I have a house of my own...
Yes, Kar Yee... There are lots of things I what in life!

*Roses*
I love White roses a lot!
Too bad they don't have it...
I only found creamy coloured roses

* Aliza said the Hibiscus is as big as her hands.*
The lower ones are known as Buddha's hand in Cantonese.

*I wonder if the flowers here will also bloom beautifully in KL? Since the weather there and KL is so different...*

* I took this under the heavy drizzling rain*

* Yes, the bull looks mad. And some of you may think that it reflects me*

We then headed back to our new hotel... Oh, we only stayed in Bala's for one night cause few kilometres away from Bala's we found Hotel De' le Ferns. Its so much more prettier and nicer than Bala's and its even more worth the money...

We booked the Deluxe Quad room for RM 406/ per night after discou
nt, original price RM 504. We got the discount cause we asked for it saying that we are students, so I think they gave us cuz we could help them to promote and they are new that's why the needed it...Moreover, we are Sunway students which means if we do promote them, they would have more rich customers... which result in $$$...

*De' le Ferns' lobby.*

*This is our room*
The bed there is mine and Aliza's*

This room is so much more better than the one in Bala though there are both 3 stars hotel... this one is inclusive of breakfast... They have a bath tub unlike Bala's... the breakfast is not bad except that they did not serve Scones and we felt so cheated cause we booked the room cause they told us they serve scones for breakfast!!!

For more information visit...

http://www.hoteldelaferns.com.my

and if you want a list of why are they 3 stars hotel... i think you can find it here

http://winter-romance.blogspot.com

So the moment we arrived back at the hotel Kar Yee, Jackson and Aliza went straight to sleep... As for me bath of course, I could never jump into the bed and sleep after going out... cause my body felt so sticky... I took around 1/2 hour... I so so miss the hot water bath... In KL, hot water bath is view as crazy cause the weather down there is so freaking hot... whereas up here cold water is definitely crazy...

After 2 hours or so of sleep we are ready for dinner. The place is called Small Town Cafe. Initially we went there for Steamboat but turns out that they took of the menu cause it's not well received. So we ended up ordering rice and vegetables... like a Chinese dinner.. In my opinion it's not that Steamboat is not well received but is just that their location is very isolated and its hard to find... compared to those in Tanah Rata and Brinchang...

Later we went to the night market in Brinchang. I bought Chocolates, its so cheap... RM 10 for 3! Though it's medium sized but in KL they would have caused at least RM 4.50 for one. That's how our night ends....

Vacation (Part 1)

The journey begins at around 11.30 a.m. and reached at about 3 p.m. The way up was dizzy... Aliza wasn't talking much as she usually does (motion sickness). Jackson used the old road, the dangerous one instead of the new, safe one... cause if use the safe one then we would have to drive all the way to Genting then ... I forgot... in short we would make a big round.

The roads were very narrow and scary... but the best is... the COOL BREEZE of Cameron... On the way up to our hotel; Bala's Hotel and Restaurant, we crossed a few town and I was really surprised that they have Starbucks...not to mention way
NICER and BEAUTIFUL than the ones in KL! And they have schools everywhere! There is even a UTAR in the middle of nowhere...(saw this on the highway).

The locals are very nice as they would wait for you to come out of the small road, parking lot etc. unlike people in KL, who gave birth to noise pollution. Truck ,bus and lorry drivers would help you to over take them while going up slopes... How great if drivers in KL practice this?! Yes, I know I'm hopping for the IMPOSSIBLE! But can't I DREAM?!

After all the round up the mountain and the 'Oh my GOD, they have this/that!', we finally reached our hotel. It's about RM 70/ night (weekdays) exclusive of breakfast. The place or rather the landscape is very beautiful... It's hundred years old, used to be a broading school for rich English kids, if I'm not mistaken.

*This is the English Garden*
I imagine myself reading a great book with some tea and biscuits,
not to mention the cool breeze and great view.
I want a life like that...
*Kar Yee: Baby, I want a garden like that in our house (to Jackson). You will see
Charis in our garden everyday, with her book. She will get tea from our house.
Kar Yee read my mind! I told her I would come with my own tea and
tea pot so I only need to get hot water from the kitchen. She does not need to worry,
I won't wake you guys up...
Hopefully!

*See the small house? That is where the owner,
Bala stays with his family*

* The other part of the garden*

*Aliza ... well she is still in shock of her sentence*
I have no idea what she did...

*This is the dining hall*

* The fireplace in the dining hall*
On the white paper, it wrote, Please do not dry your clothes and shoes here.
Yup, it's what it says...

*The pathway to our room*

*Our 3 star room. It looks okay during the day, when night comes...
I can only describe in one word
SPOOKY! We had to take cold bath during the night... no idea where is the HOT WATER!
I finally somehow know how the Japanese people felt when there are in the cold icy water during winter!!!
But after that, the feeling is great! I felt more freshing and warmer somehow (in the room).
The moment I stepped out..
OH MY GOD!!! I felt like I just dive into the icy cold water again!!!
I was practically freezing to death!!!

* See the Starbuck here is so freaking nice!!! I think Starbucks should standardise all their designs Malaysia-wide... There should not be double standarded treatment!!!

*This is what we did during the first night. Aren't we weird? We have a hotel room but then we are relaxing here, trying to avoid going back early!!! Mainly is because...
WE ARE ALL FREAKING SCARED OF THE SPOOKY ROOM!!!!
We were here till 12 p.m cause they close at 1 a.m.

* These people here practically own this place.... Cause their voice are freaking loud!!! Disturbing the peace!!! Must be KL people*

When we got out of the car, I saw a indian guy in red shirt staring at us! So I asked Aliza if she saw the same... Thank god, she did!!! Or I would scream my heart out and change hotel straight away!!! I guess that must be Bala... Then all of us went to bed... I was half asleep till 3 a.m. and got fedup of sleeping cause I felt that someone kept waking me up by either pushed my legs or my body softly a few times. I'm not kidding!!! I swear, cause I saw Aliza's body moved slightly as if someone just pushed her!!!

And while I was awake watching HBO, I heard footsteps, door opening and closing, people splashing water and of course singing.... I really have no idea where all these sounds came from at 4.30 a.m. The next morning, I asked Kar Yee whether she came out during the night, she said no... FYI, out of the whole row of rooms, only the first 3 rooms are occupied and the door sounds and footsteps came from the later room. That's why I thought Kar Yee came out during the night!

But either how, it is sort of a good experience for me... One thing for sure is ...

I would never want any of it any more in the future!!!
